Elnora Litz Hickman

March 25, 1917 — August 26, 2005

On a beautiful summer day, August 26, 2005, Elnora Litz Hickman, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones at her side. She was born March 25, 1917, in Trenton, Utah to William and Vivian Tippetts Litz. As a child she spent many days helping on the family farm with her sister and brothers. She has always had a deep love for her parents and siblings. She attended school in Cache Valley graduating from North Cache High School. She attended Weber Academy where she received her cosmetology license. She put herself through college at Utah State University. She married Blaine Earl Hickman on August 27, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their marriage was an example of love, devotion, and enjoying life. They had a wonderful companionship, working together owning and operating the family ranch in Stone, Idaho and operating a country store in Snowville, Utah. They moved to Rawlins, Wyoming in 1973 and to Ogden in 1992. Elnora was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always willing to serve the Lord in any way. She and Blaine served three LDS missions to the Papeete Tahiti Mission. She is survived by her husband, Blaine E. Hickman of Ogden, one brother William Ila Litz of Trenton, UT, and eight children; Winston Donna Hickman, Vivian Steven Terry, Michael Marsha Hickman, Ineda Deon Wilkes, Annette Gary Christensen, Matthew Nancy Hickman, Delila Jon Webb, Stuart Dawn Hickman; 43 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. There was never anything more important to her than her family. She loves each one of them with all her heart and we each felt her sweet love. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Aldena and brother-in-law Rex Reed, one brother Leon Litz, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at 12:00 Noon at the Mt. Lewis 7th Ward Chapel, 1200 North Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
