Clair Loy Robinson

November 23, 1940 — September 13, 2022

Clair Loy Robinson, age 81, passed away on September 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 23, 1940, to Loy H. and Ruth Krebs Robinson in North Logan, Utah. Clair graduated from South Cache High School, class of 1959. He served in the Scottish – Irish Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1961 – 1963. Upon returning he joined the Army Reserve where he served as a cook for 6 years.

He married his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Ann Douglass, on March 17, 1967, in the Logan LDS temple. After graduating from Utah State University he taught U.S. History at Mount Logan Middle School for 30 years. He spent the summer months building homes and camping all over Utah with his kids.

In addition to teasing and telling jokes, Clair loved the outdoors. He spent many of his days on horses and snowmobiles, skiing, and riding in his side by side with his sweetheart. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren participate in sports, music, theater, and all other endeavors they involved themselves in. He was a fun grandpa! Many memories have been made of him pulling the kids around on sleds in the field, trips to the mug store, tractor rides, hauling hay, and witnessing the countless hours of love and service he offered to all who crossed his path. In his 81 years he had an immeasurable impact to all around him that earned him the name of Mr. Service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loy H. Robinson, and his mother Ruth K Robinson. He is survived by his wife Sylvia, and his children Craig (Emily), Joel (Jennifer), Stacy (Joel), Brett (Landree), Trent (Jennifer), Mindy (Brady), 22 grandchildren, and his siblings Sharon Roberts, Carol Dansie, Val Robinson, Paul Robinson, and Mont Robinson.
