Claudia Mae Anderson

Claudia Mae Netherly Anderson, 75, died on October 22, 2011 after suffering with cancer. She was born May 6, 1936, in Soda Springs, Idaho, the youngest child of Claude and Adelene Netherly. She grew up in Cokeville, WY with her two brothers. Her father was a government trapper, school bus driver, marshall, and janitor of Cokeville schools. Her mother was a housewife who enjoyed cooking and sewing. Claudia graduated from Cokeville High School and married Andrew Anderson on November 10, 1954 in Cokeville. They made their home on the ranch at Border, WY where they farmed the land. Claudia and Andrew shared years together before his death in 2010. They are the parents of two daughters and one son. Their children and spouses are: Andra Lee and David Bennett; Carrie and Troy Goodsell; and Craig and Jackie Anderson. They are the grandparents of 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Adelene Helen McLean; father, Claude Netherly; brother, Patrick Netherly; brother John Netherly, and husband, Parley Andrew Anderson.
Claudia was an excellent housekeeper. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening. She also enjoyed spending her summers boating at Bear Lake. Much of her life centered around being a faithful caretaker. The last few years of Claudia and Andrew's life together were spent at their residence in Hyrum, UT.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Logan Nursing and Rehab, Intermountain Hospice caretakers Anna, Angela, Dr Ali Benjacob, Dr Jeffery Strong and nurses who dedicate their services for loved ones. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 29, 2011 at the Hyrum City Cemetery.
