David Clayton Huckaby

David Clayton Huckaby age 73 passed away May, 31, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was born February 25, 1937 in San Bernardino, California to Benjamin Clayton Huckaby and Willamae Morris. He married Carol Jean Blain in Beaumont, California on September 15, 1956. He is survived by his beloved wife and their two children Denise Richard Williams and Tacey Matt Burnham, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great –great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Carl Dean Huckaby. David's greatest pride and proudest accomplishment was his family. He was our dragon-slayer and hero. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved and we all benefitted from his steadfast devotion. He was a wonderful provider and made sure his family wanted for nothing. We will never forget his dry sense of humor which few people understood but which kept his family laughing. We will never forget his commanding presence in our lives and will forever miss his influence and guidance. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Smithfield 17th Ward Chapel, 345 East 300 South. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m prior to services.
