Dee Carver Brown

Garland, UT – Dee Carver Brown, 73, passed away October 4, 2010 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 8, 1936 in Tremonton, to Henry and Inez Brown. He grew up in Garland, UT and graduated from Bear River High School and also attended 2 semesters at Utah State University. Dee married Marlene Garn August 23, 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She passed away October 12, 1982. He married Sharon Palmer November 19, 1983 Garland, UT. They were later divorced. He married Alice Ann Muir March 16, 1995 in Willard, UT. She passed away November 12, 2007. Dee worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector for Thiokol and also enjoyed being a farmer which he did his whole life. He worked the family farm that was purchased in the 1930's and owned and operated the farm later in life. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a High Priest, and a High Priest group leader in the Garland 4th Ward. He served in many capacities including Executive Secretary and enjoyed being a Home Teacher. Dee enjoyed farming, sports, especially basketball and football and one of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children: Randy D. Brown Tricia Riverside, UT, Julie B. Leader Matthew Carlsbad, CA, Kevin H. Brown Sherrie Brigham City, UT, Lisa B. Anderson Jeffrey Logan, UT, Christopher W. Brown Sherlene Brigham City, UT; Step-Children: Jeffrey L. Forsgren Verna Sue, LeAnna F. Barlow Chad, Jason A. Forsgren, Amy Dawn Healey Shawn; Brother: Kenneth H. Brown Deanna Centerville, UT; Sisters: Beth B. Jonsson Bengt Kaysville, UT, Carole J. Ward Kenneth Meldon Kaysville, UT; 18 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wives Marlene and Alice. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 11:00 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 West Factory Street, Garland, UT with Bishop Shannon King officiating. Friends may call Friday, October 8, 2010 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT and Saturday from 9:30 – 10:40 a.m. at the tabernacle prior to the funeral services. Interment will follow at the Garland Cemetery.
