Dorothy Lou Sudbury Stevens

Salt Lake City-Dorothy Lou Sudbury Stevens, 80, passed away in Salt Lake City, UT March 19, 2011 at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center due to congestive heart failure. She was born in Deweyville, UT October 29, 1930 to Walter and Lula May Couch Sudbury. She grew up and was educated in the Bear River Valley and graduated from Bear River High School. After graduation her family moved to Salt Lake City. Dorothy married Arthur Russell Stevens on May 10, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Dot loved sports. She and Art were avid Utah Jazz fans and held season tickets for 30 years. Dot enjoyed participating in softball in her early years and bowled in a bowling league until her health declined. She is survived by her husband, Arthur; two sons: Ron Susan and Tracy; and two grandchildren, Scott Stevens and Laurie Brian Pehrson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Sudbury and sister, Helen Campbell. The family would like to thank the staff of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and Highland Care Center for their kindness and excellent care during these last two months.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 ? 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Deweyville City Cemetery.
