Errol "Austin" Jenson, 16, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Austin was born July 5, 1994, in Montpelier, Idaho. He lived with his family in Mendon, Utah, for almost six years and then in Wellsville, Utah, for almost 11. Austin never spoke a word, but taught great lessons about endurance and unconditional love. He was courageous and tough as he met life's challenges. The incredible spirit he brought into his family's lives will be missed every day.
He is survived by his father, Justin; his mother, Lori; his siblings, Kirsten, Alex, Eneli and Kyson; four grandparents, Morris and Ruth Ann Gregory Mapleton, Idaho, Errol and Janet Merkley Tridell, Utah, 29 aunts and uncles, and 40 cousins.
Austin was preceded in death by his sister, Emalyn Pearl, and his grandfather, William Alexander Jenson.
A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan, Utah, on Friday, March 4, 2011, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and at the Old Mendon Church House, 20 N. 100 West, Mendon, Utah, on Saturday, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery.
