Faye Hawks Morris

Portage/Ogden-Faye Hawks Morris, 99, passed away November 4, 2011 in Ogden, UT. She was born Sept. 7, 1912 in Portage, UT, the second of nine children to Abraham DeRoy and Pearl Halford Hawks. She married Glen Morris on Dec. 10, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was employed by the Box Elder County School lunch program for 17 years. She served an LDS mission to the Eastern States and has served in various leadership positions at the ward and stake levels.
She is survived by her children: Sandra Robert Callister, Sheila Lyman Thorpe, Karen Kenneth Johnston, Sherma Kipp Parker and Glen Craig Shauna Morris. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, her sister Veda Edman and Sister-in-law Vera Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Portage LDS Chapel 8910 West 25800 North, Portage. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and on Wednesday at the Church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Portage Cemetery.
