Fontella Fonnie Hansen Anderson

Elwood, UT – Our lovely, little mother, Fontella Fonnie Hansen Anderson, 89, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her home in Elwood, Utah. She was born April 4, 1920 the oldest daughter of six children to Ephraim Peter and Carrie Janette Andreasen Hansen. She married Arlow Conley Anderson July 17, 1937 in Brigham City, Utah. She was endowed and sealed to our father October 9, 1987 in the Logan LDS Temple. Our father passed away July 4, 1986.
She spent her childhood in Elwood, attending Elwood Elementary and Bear River High School. Mother served in the Primary Organization, was a visiting teacher and a member of the ward choir in the Elwood Ward.
She is survived by two daughters: Connie Rae Cody Roche, Elwood, UT and Sherrieann Chournos, Tremonton, UT; a son, Gary Lynn Nan, Plymouth, UT; and a daughter-in-law, Jean Anderson, Torrance, CA; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Hunsaker and a brother, Oren Norman Hansen.
She was preceded in death by twin sons, Clarence and Ephraim; a son, Reed Arlow Anderson, her husband and our father, Arlow Conley Anderson, her parents, a sister, two brothers, a daughter-in-law, Roxie Ann Anderson and two sons-in-law, Johnnie Kay Chournos and Chad Lane Pierce.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, with Bishop Blake Christensen officiating. Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Thursday from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.
