Gladys B. Westover

Gladys B Westover passed away February 20, 2013; She was born on December 7, 1927 to Isaac and Elizabeth Barnes. Gladys spent her early years on the farm. In the young women's program she earned the Golden Gleaner Award. She graduated from Downey High School, and then served an L.D.S. mission in Toronto, Canada. Upon return she married Reed K Westover in the Logan LDS Temple. Reed and Gladys farmed in Swan Lake Idaho until 1969 when the family moved to Providence, Utah, where they lived for 40 years. They then moved to Hyde Park. Gladys worked as a medical clerk at Sunshine Terrace for 25 years. After she retired she enjoyed quilting, needlework, and baking cookies. This was a love she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant child Penny, and her oldest son Kevin who recently passed. Gladys is survived her sweetheart of 60 years, one sister Grace Bob Mattson, children; daughter-in-law, Kathy Westover, Vicki Westover Meeds, Diana Royle Wheeler, Craig Shawna Westover, Adair Jim Maughan, thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday February 25, 2013, at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Internment will be at the cemetery in Downey, Idaho.
