Harold Albert Spackman

Harold Albert Spackman returned to his loving Father in Heaven's arms September 29, 2009, surrounded by his loving wife, Millie and his family. Harold was born in Preston, Idaho on January 13, 1919, to Brigham and Lillian Catherine Hansen Spackman. He was the fourth child in the family of nine.
He met the love of his life, Millie L. Weeks and they were married, November 6, 1940 in the Logan Temple. November of this year would have been their 69th wedding anniversary.
He was a farmer and carpenter.
He was called to serve in World War II, February 7, 1945.
He and Millie were the parents of nine daughters, Ruth Scott Fife, Carol, deceased Paul Robinson, Venna Lloyd Buttars, Donna Richard Carlson, Betty Marvin Buttars, deceased and Douglas Schenk, Darlene Randy Meredith, Janice Lee Purser, Joyce Gary Hancock and Wendy Thom Smith.
Harold and Millie served an LDS mission in Louisville, Kentucky. He was active in the LDS Church working with the MIA Presidency, youth in various positions. He was an officiator in the Logan Temple. He has 254 posterity and 9 more expected.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol, his parents, and five brothers, James, Don, LeRoy, Morland, Vaughan and two sisters Lois, Laura and a half-sister, Gladys.
He is survived by a sister Leona LaNoy, two half sisters Roseanna and Martha and two step-sisters Jannette and Hazel.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 at the Trenton/Cornish LDS chapel, 1200 North 400 West, Trenton, Utah, Thursday, October 1, 2009. The funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at noon at the Trenton/Cornish LDS chapel. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11-30 prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Trenton cemetery following the funeral. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
