Janice Smith

Janice Smith, 79, passed away July 9, 2018 at Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center, Logan Utah. She was born March 15, 1939, in Smithfield Utah. the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy Whittle Smith. She attended Cache County Schools and graduated from North Cache High School.
Jan enjoyed working with finances and was able to spend many years in this field before retiring from First Security Bank. Jan loved to travel and was able to share this passion with her nieces and her mother during dozens of summer vacations.
In recent years, Jan spent time researching and recording family history names and stories.
Jan is survived by her big brother, Chad (Nancy) Smith, four nieces, Cindy (Joel Teuscher), Trina Balls, Suzette (Ryan Rock), Sandi (Willy Hansen) and 19 great and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11am at the Smithfield Cemetery.
The Smith family would like to express a big Thank You to Dr. Firth, the wonderful hospice staff and the entire Sunshine Terrace Foundation for making Jan’s last days special and comfortable.
