Josephine Gonzalez Garcia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Josephine Garcia, 79, passed away May 25th, 2022 in Logan, Utah. She joins her late husband of 47 years whom passed in 2019. Josephine was born March 19, 1943 in Ozona, Texas to the late Hilario and Genaveva Gonzalez. She was the 3rd oldest in the family of 7 children. On April 24, 1971, she married Arthur Garcia. They raised one son, Paul. Josephine had many jobs from working in the cotton fields, working at the Del Monte plant, and later working at the Cache Valley Dairy. She had a love for the outdoors, taking her grandchildren on vacations and making holiday cookies, always working in her yard making it look perfect. From planting flowers to moving outdoor furniture around in the perfect spot. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents(Hilario and Genaveva), husband(Arthur), two sisters and a brother(Irene, Sally, and Joe). She is survived by her son Paul(Teri), 3 Grandchildren(Nick, Eloise, Ashly), 4 Great Grandchildren, and 3 sisters. A viewing for Josephine will be held on Thursday June 2nd at Nelson Funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Hyde Park, Utah at 11:00 A.M on Friday June 3rd. Followed by a burial at the Smithfield Cemetery. A luncheon following all services will be held at the church. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
