Joyce Dewitt Merrill Copp

Joyce Merrill Copp, 87, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2011 of causes incident to age. Joyce, a long time resident of Logan, came to Utah from her beloved Boston where she developed a love for lifelong learning from her parents. A graduate of Utah State University, Joyce worked as a librarian at Logan High School for many years. For those close to her, Joyce was known for her ability to write inspiring poetry, tell heart-warming stories, and for her love of cats. For casual acquaintances, Joyce might best be remembered for riding her three-wheeled bike through the streets of Logan. A dear friend to many and a loving matriarch to her family, Joyce will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, in Logan where friends and family will gather at 1:00 pm and informal sharing of memories will begin at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at approximately 2:00 pm at the Logan City Cemetery.
