Lawrence Clare Wiser
1929-2022

Lewiston UT- Larry passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4th in Logan Utah at the
Age of 92

He was born at his childhood home in Lewiston Utah on October 7, 1929 to Myron Cunningham Wiser and Zelma Smith Wiser. He was the sixth of seven children, also the 5th boy. He attended North Cache high school. He loved to tell his family that he was a Bulldog from North Cache High.

Larry married Billie Lou Gilbert on December 9, 1949 in the Logan Temple. Together they raised their 5 children in Lewiston, Utah. They celebrated 70 wonderful years together before mom passed away 4 years ago. They first met while working at Del Monte after they had both graduated from high school. Larry was raised on his family farm and always loved farming. At one time Larry worked at Hill Air Force Base, Amalgamated Sugar Company and Buttars Tractor. They also spent some time in Mud Lake ID working with his brother Phillip. Larry also helped Grandpa Gilbert on his farm after Uncle Ralph was hurt. Larry had a great memory and memorized many poems that he shared with his family throughout his life. Larry worked in the Logan Temple for many years. Larry also served on the Utah Dairy Commission and the Utah and Idaho Beef Council. Those years were full of fun travel, Jazz games, and making many lifetime friends. Larry also loved riding horses and took many friends on overnight adventures to Tony Grove.
Larry was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many different callings there.

Larry was preceded in death by his sweetheart and parents, sister Edna Wiser and his brothers, Phillip, Lyman, Wallace, Theron Wiser, a grandson Tony Jensen and his great grandson B.J. Larson. He is survived by his children Marilee (Kelly) Spackman of Fairview ID,
LuAnn (Todd) Jensen of Providence UT, Larry (Patti) Wiser of Lewiston UT, Danny (Cyndi) Wiser of Nibley UT, and Nan (Cleve) Buttars of Twin Falls ID.
Larry and Billie have 20 grandchildren. He was always proud of the fact that there were 10 boys and 10 girls and not an ugly one in the bunch. They also have 58 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren. He also survived by one Sister Lois Ballard.

The family would like to express thanks to the great staff at the Transitional Care Unit at Logan Regional Hospital who made his last 3 days very comfortable for him and his family. A BIG thank you to Larry and Patty Wiser for taking care of dad for the last few years. You made it so he could stay in his home and enjoy his time there.
