Lowell Erickson Bair

February 24, 1924 — January 3, 2014

Lowell E. Bair was born February 24, 1929 to Earl and Agnes Bair in Richmond, Ut and passed away in the home of his son, Brent in the early morning hours of January 3, 2014. After having all of his children and grandchildren express their love and thanks for a life well lived.
Lowell graduated from North Cache and married his high school sweetheart, Margene Thomas on August 19, 1950.
He served in the Army in Korea 1951-1952, and was greeted by a 5 month old and his loving wife upon his arrival home.
He returned to work at Sears and Roebuck until June 28, 1953 when he began work for the State of Utah as a highway patrolman and for the next 30 years gained the respect of all who knew him.
After his retirement he was a handyman to all especially his family.
He is survived by his 3 sons , Bruce, Richmond; Brent. Carolyn, Richmond; and Bob Julie, Smithfield; 10 grandchildren whom he dearly loved and 12 beautiful great grandchildren.
Thanks to all his friends at the Smithfield Sinclair and the Golden Corral and all his good friends and neighbors who have been so good to him through the years. A special thanks to a kind friend, Heather B who brought al lot of happiness to dad and also to the Access Hospice Utah who have helped us through the last few weeks of his life.
According to his wishes, there will be a viewing at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield on Monday, January 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to graveside services at 1:00 p.m. at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
