Lucille Koller Glenn

July 17, 1922 — February 3, 2010

Selma Lucille Koller Glenn passed away peacefully February 3rd, 2010 of natural causes in the Sunshine Terrace in Logan Utah. She was 87 years old. Lucille was born July 17, 1922 in her home in Weston, Idaho to Antone and Selma Koller. She grew up in Weston, enjoying wonderful school activities and friends. She was active in cheerleading, singing, and playing the piano. She married Drue Gibbons Glenn in the Logan LDS Temple on April 15th, 1943. They were parents to four daughters and two sons, one who died in infancy. During the early years of her married life she and Drue worked hard in establishing their own business, Glenn?s Electric Motor & Supply Company in Logan, which is still owned and operated by the family today 52 years later. Lucille successfully managed the finances of the company. Lucille had a great interest in improving and beautifying properties. Through the years she bought, renovated and restored six homes along her street in Logan. She was involved in planning and developing the Glenn Brooke Condominiums and other properties in Logan and North Logan. In 1973 she had the opportunity to build her dream home, which she designed and built in the Cliffside area in Logan. She was very frugal and saved enough money to pay for the home in full. She loved plants and gardening and her beautiful yards always complemented the neighborhoods where they lived. Lucille shared her love for gardens and plants with others as a member of the Cache Valley Garden Club. She enjoyed service in the community and was active in the Soroptimists International Service Organization for several years. She was also very involved with a group of other parents and USU to establish the first school for children with Down Syndrome and other special needs in Cache Valley. She was a member of the Logan 9th Ward and was actively involved in service opportunities there as well. Later in life Lucille enjoyed traveling, especially with her sister-in-law, Marlene. She loved to pay attention to her grandchildren and enjoyed the later part of her life watching them grow.
Lucille was preceded in death by her Husband, Drue G. Glenn and is survived by her children, Colleen Kay Mcbride Veldon of West Jordan; Utah, Janice Scott Mike of Enid, Oklahoma; Bonnie Child Dee of Hyde Park; Patty Glenn of Logan; Kent Glenn of Logan; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Saturday, February 6 from 12:00 noon ? 2:00 pm in the Logan LDS 9th Ward Church 100 East 500 North. The funeral will follow at 2:30 pm.
