Margaret Bingham

October 5, 1920 — September 6, 2013

Margaret Wells Jones Bingham, 92, passed away on September 6, 2013 of natural causes. She was born October 5, 1920 to Lawrence Ray and Annie Bell Wells in Malad, Idaho. She was the fifth of seven siblings who all grew up on the family ranch in Woodruff, Idaho.
Margaret attended Woodruff and Cherry Creek grade schools and Malad High School. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities in the church auxiliaries.
She married LaMar W. Jones in Ogden, Utah November 20, 1937. They were later sealed in the Logan Utah LDS Temple and had three sons and one daughter. LaMar passed away in January, 1972. Margaret married Leon Bingham in July, 1973. He passed away in January, 2003.
During her lifetime she worked as a wife and mother, and later worked for Sears for many years and retired from there. She belonged to various organizations including Daughters of The Utah Pioneers and the Logan Chapter of Business and Professional Women. She was an avid quilter and made beautiful afghans and needlepoint items which are cherished by her children and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by three of her four children: Terry Jones Terrie, Judy Francis Russell, and Randy Jones; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Wells, three sisters in law: DeLone Bybee, Norma Jones, Carol Bingham Eames, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; son, Morris Jones Lynette, five siblings: Laura Williams, Erastus Wells, Malinda Harris, Ray Wells, Novia Bickmore, grandson Ryan Thompson, and great granddaughter, Madison Kimball.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 12 noon at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
