Margene Hardman Nilson Griffin

June 22, 1950 — February 26, 2010

Margene Genie Hardman Nilson Griffin, slipped away on February 26, 2010. Genie was born on June 22, 1950 in Logan, Utah. She was the second daughter of three born to Harvey Pierce and Alice Liddell Hardman. She lived in Tremonton, Utah until age 15, at which time her family moved to Logan. Margene attended Logan High School. After leaving she started her family of three sons, Johnny, Micheal Mike and Jason JC. She loved her sons fiercely; they were the pride of her life. Genie labored hard her whole life, she was a hard worker, unfailing in her strength to deal with the task at hand. Her last toil, being at Deseret Industries, was a great blessing for her. It was here that she began to search for the answers to the questions in all our hearts; to begin to understand Jesus Christ. Thanks to the Mendon 2nd Ward for opening your arms and your hearts, and showing Margene the light of Christ. Genie enjoyed the outdoors immensely. She loved to go and do. Family doing was always important, riding horses, camping, boating, and 4-wheeling into deep dark holes…Margene was the epitome of a free spirit. She lived life her way; stubborn to the end, honest and true. How we will miss her…always with a genuine happy smile and an infectious laugh, she will be remembered….God bless you Margene. May you forever be free of the pain of your past, never to be haunted again. Once we were six, now we are two
So lost, alone, missing you.
Sorry to be selfish and distraught
This is what happens we are taught. Humble beginning, humble end
To our God you ascend.
May the hurt that haunted you in this life,
Be gone forever, never to strife. May your journey be swift and safe
May the light guide you to your wanted place
Take care of those who need you now
Together again soon, someway, somehow. With thought to wonder why.
To shed a tear, to say goodbye.
All we can do is wish you well
And to put you with those we love who have fell. Margene is survived by her son, Micheal; her brother, Lynn; her mother, Alice; and her niece, Kathy. She was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and Jason Nilson; two sisters, Margaret and Lavon; her father, Harvey; and her niece, Ranie. Memorial services will be held from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Mendon Stake Center, 460 South 100 East, Mendon, Utah. A graveside service will follow at the Providence City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
