Marie Celia Isaacson

Marie Celia Isaacson of College Ward passed away at the age of 74 on Nov. 25, 2011, in her home surrounded by her loved ones after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Sep. 27 1937 to Thomas and Martha Davenport of Brigham City, Utah. She married Merle Burton Isaacson on June 27, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Marie enjoyed being outdoors with her family and friends; camping, fishing, and just sitting around the campfire, family parties and cookouts were always a joy to her. Marie served as a member of the Cache County Mounted Sheriff's Posse for 15 years. During those 15 years you could always find her atop her favorite horse Cassie. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Merle Isaacson, her brother Earl Shannon Davenport of Brigham City Utah, son Guy Tammy Isaacson of Nibley Utah, son Don Kim Isaacson of Nibley Utah, son Rex Isaacson of Wellsville Utah, daughter Tina Turnquist of Hyrum Utah, Daughter-in-law Sheryl Kevin Steward of Logan Utah, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Florence Davenport, and great-grandson Quay Jensen. Funeral services will be held Friday Dec. 2nd at Nelson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 11:50 am prior to services.
Services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America. The family would like to give a special thanks to Doctor Szpunar and Community Nursing Services, just to name a few: Julie Ward and Carol McDonald and Alyson Egan for the care of Marie.
