Nola Christensen Nessler

Bear River City, UT ? Nola Christensen Nessler, 88, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010.
She was born January 16, 1922 in Bear River City, UT, a daughter of Irving Fenton and Carrie Jensen Christensen.
Nola married Richard Dick T. Nessler January 23, 1946 in Bear River City. Their marriage was solemnized March 11, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple. Richard passed away January 3, 2002.
She was very active in the LDS Church and had served faithfully in many callings. Her music callings meant so much to her. She dearly loved music.
Nola cooked many school lunches at Bear River Elementary School for several years.
She enjoyed life, cooking and baking. Making rolls, taffy and raisin-filled cookies were her specialty. Her family and friends were the recipients of these special gifts. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano for her own enjoyment and playing a mean game of checkers.
Surviving are her children: Sandra Gerald Smith, Richard C., and Brian L. Kimmy, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Dee, Varge and Elmo and sisters: Floy Murray and Meredith Weese.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons: Bart C. and Chris, and three brothers: Lysle, Thirl and Gaylen.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Bear River Ward Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday at the church prior to funeral services from 9:15-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Bear River City Cemetery.
The family wished to say thank you for all of the loving thoughts, kind acts of service and the many prayers that have been offered.
