Patricia Ann Arendtsen Bauer

April 2, 1943 — June 21, 2014

Patricia Pat Ann Arendtsen Bauer, 71, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. She was born on April 2, 1943 in Salt Lake City to Otto Earnest Shrader Jr. and Loa Marie Schrader. She earned a masters degree in biology from Oregon State University. She then taught at Clearfield High School. While teaching, she met her sweetheart, Hans B. Arendtsen, at a service station. They married & started their family in Logan, UT. They had six children. She spent most of her years driving school buses and enjoyed it thoroughly. She lost Hans in October 1993 due to cancer. She remarried in 1995 to Milo D. Bauer and they served an LDS mission in Alabama. He passed shortly after their return. She loved the outdoors, walking, hiking, camping, and becoming one with nature. She enjoyed being around her family, friends, and even strangers. She spent six weeks on a vacation she never forgot in a red convertible VW bug with her best friend Judy and her dog, Sierra. She was a hard worker, very independent, and sometimes stubborn but extremely easy going, loving, and patient. She loved watching all sports including watching her daughters & husband Hans play softball. Throughout all of her challenges in life one thing she never lost was her sense of humor. She is survived by her brother Ernie Connie Schrader, daughters Suzanne Jason Talbot, Rebecca Brett McIntire, Valerie Cameron Miller, Deborah Arendtsen, Annette Jon May and son Hans Aredtsen, and 19 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Hans B. Arendtsen husband, Otto E. Schrader Dad, Kathy McEwen Sister, Milo D. Bauer husband, Loa M. Schrader Mom. A funeral will be held in her honor at the Logan 25th Ward 325 Lauralin Dr. on Friday, June 27 at 11 am. Viewings will be held Thursday, June 26 at Nelson Funeral Home in Logan from 6-8 pm as well as Friday, June 27 at the church prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30. Interment will follow at Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com Thank you to the Legacy house of Logan for helping our loving mom in these last days. We will always love you mom and never forget you. SRVDAH
