Tragedy struck the Hodges family, a younger sister Janeal 9yrs and mother, Wanda passed away within a years time. She then moved to Logan, Utah to live with an older brother Randy deceased and his wife Marsha Nicoles. During the oil boom in the mid 80's the three moved to Rawlins, Wyo for employment, and stayed for a short time. In the late 80's she moved back to Cache Valley for good. They were married May 18, 1990 in the Old Rock Church in Providence, Utah. In 1991 they moved to Smithfield, Utah, where she currently resided until the time of her death. During their early marriage, they loved camping and boating. She loved the outdoors, sitting around the campfire telling stories, and admiring God's majestic creation. Paula was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was working toward a Temple Marriage. In the millennium year 2000, the Heavens blessed her with her only child, Kali Rose, who was her pride and joy. "Kali, even though mom was sick these last few years, she loved you with all her heart. Always remember that." Paula's hobby's included watching her 'soaps', listening to real music from the 70's and 80's and she loved to decorate the house for every event and holiday, and cherished family events.
