Pearl Emma Douglas

Pearl Crossley Douglas passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 8, 2014 while residing in the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Pearl entered this life in Smoot, Wyoming on March 18, 1916. She was the sixth child and second daughter of Dennis George Crossley and Pearl Young. She had 10 siblings who all preceded her in death.
She married Raymond Richmard Douglas on February 14, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Ray passed away on October 1, 1998. Ray and Pearl enjoyed square dancing and for over 50 years spent their weekends dancing. Pearl made many friendships during her time with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Pearl was a talented cook who enjoyed feeding anyone that visited her home. She loved to crochet and created many colorful afghans, pot holders, and dish cloths.
She is survived by four sons: Larry Donna of St. George, Roger Marilyn of Smithfield, Randy Kathy of Nauvoo, IL., and Gaylen Geri of Salk Lake City, Utah. She has 17 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the LDS Hyde Park Chapel on 65 East Center Street. A viewing will precede the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Hyde Park City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com
