Richard Weldon Peterson

Richard Weldon Peterson. 64, passed away with his family by his side. Richard was born on December 21, 1946, the only son of Weldon and Elizabeth Beth Peterson. On July 10, 1968, Richard married his sweetheart, Deanna Curtis. Richard and Deanna are the parents of two boys, Jeremy and Ryan Peterson. Richard worked for many years with Jay Curtis as J & R Flooring. Richard was an expert in the installation of carpet, linoleum, formica and tile. Before Richard became disabled in 1994, he was an avid and excellent bowler. He especially loved to fish. When his sons were old enough they went along on many fishing trips and he never minded if neighborhood friends came along as well. Richard was also a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. Richard is survived by his wife, Deanna, his sons, Jeremy and Ryan, of Logan, Utah .. Sisters Deone Ken Nelson of Renton, WA, Joyce Tom Carlson of Brigham City, Utah, Kathy Lee Benson of Newton, Utah, he his also survived by his granddaughter, Dalice Sky, who was the light of his life. Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother, niece and two nephews. Although Richard has suffered most of his life with one debilitating medical problem after another, he was unfailingly kind, appreciative and pleasant to be around. Richard will be missed by his family and all who were lucky enough to know him.
A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Logan Cemetery on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
