Robert Louis Smith

January 17, 1956 — February 1, 2010

Robert Bob Louis Smith, 54, of Wellsville, husband and best friend, father, and grandfather returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday February 1, 2010. Bob was born January 17, 1956 to Keith A. and Elizabeth E. Smith in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Clearfield, Utah and graduated from Clearfield high. As a young boy he loved hunting and fishing with his family. Their favorite places were Hoop Lake and the Uintah's. As he grew his love for cars grew. He spent many hours perfecting his Monte Carlo. Bob met his sweetheart, Annette on a blind date, where they immediately fell in love. They were married November 22, 1978 in Park City. They made their first home in Harrisville, UT, and later with Bob's great desire to move to Cache Valley, he switched jobs from H.A.F.B. to E.A. Millers and moved his family to Wellsville. They were blessed with five wonderful children: Crystal, Joshua, Heather, Tyrell and Nicole. They were sealed as a family in the LDS Temple on April 22, 1999. Bob had a love for his family and the outdoors. As a family they raised and bred horses. He took many camping trips with his family where he enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, cooking, and hanging out around the campfire. His adventures took him to Bourns, as a Computer Mechanic, where he discovered his natural understanding and love for computers and programming. Bob's next adventure was a move to a new job at Autoliv where he continued to excel in computers and anything mechanically related.
After much anticipation, Bob and his brother took their father on a fishing trip to Alaska, where he finally caught the "Big One". When he purchased his motorcycle, he discovered a new kind of freedom. Craving summer and its open roads, he grew antsy in the winter for a sunny day; wearing his leathers he'd be gripping the handlebars of his motorcycle. He went on many Charity rides as well as a ride to Yellowstone with his wife and son, Tyrell. He loved long solo rides, the sun on his face, and the wind in his hair made him feel young and alive. Bob is survived by, his wife Annette Cole Smith of Wellsville, and their children, Crystal Bohm Steve, Joshua Smith Jessica, Heather Sealy Bryan, Tyrell Smith Britanie, Nicole Smith, and Sandy Bywater Ryan and 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Keith A. Smith and siblings: Linda Larry, Joan Tom Waggoner, Dale Tina Smith and Gary Smith. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Edwards Maugham Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Wellsville 7th ward chapel, 660 South 100 West, Wellsville.
