Ruth Done Hansen

Ruth Done Hansen, 86 of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 surrounded by people who loved her.
She was born in Lewiston, Utah on November 13, 1929 to William Smith and Adeline Gregory Done. She grew up on a farm and knew the meaning of hard work. Her mother often put a cookie at the end of a row of beets. She used that hard work to become the winning pitcher on the professional women’s softball team that won the State of Utah.
She started working at the Budge Clinic in Smithfield when she was 17. She earned her registered nursing degree and worked at the Logan Regional Hospital. She was tender and kind and loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Ronald. She is survived by her brother Terry and sister Karen D. Huffman of Smithfield. She is also survived by three children, Cheryl, Janet and Dick, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 12 noon in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
