Venice Smith Larson

March 25, 1916 — February 11, 2010

Venice Smith Larson passed away peacefully February 12, 2010 at the Legacy House of Logan from causes incident to age. She was born March 25, 1916 to Frederick and Amanda Munk Smith. She was the last of seven children. Her siblings were Edwin, Aaron, Adrian, Blodwin, Kenna, and Ione, all deceased. Venice attended schools in Logan, Utah and Utah State Agriculture College. She married LaVern E. Larson June 15, 1937 in the Logan Temple. He has passed away. Vern and Venice made their home in Sacramento, Calif. until 2002 when Venice returned to Logan to live at the Legacy House. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being active in the Relief Society and Primary. She loved music and took great pride in her lovely home and yard. She is survived by her special niece René R. Mac Hamblin of Las Vegas, Nev. and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Lorraine L. Larsen. Interment will be held at the Richmond City Cemetery on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held later in the spring. We want to give a special thanks to all the CNA's and staff at the Legacy House for the very loving and professional care she received during her seven year stay. She loved you all so very much. Thanks to the staff at Rocky Mountain Health Care and Hospice for your kind and loving care.
