Blake Gerald Merrill

Blake Gerald Merrill, beloved son, brother, and uncle, age 38, of Smithfield, Utah, passed away Friday night, Dec. 1, 2017, after succumbing to long-term illness. He was born October 1, 1979 in Logan, Utah, and spent most of his life in Trenton and Logan. Blake worked as a long-time custodian at Gossner Foods and at Utah State University. He is survived by his parents Jay and Mary Merrill, Smithfield; his siblings Phil (Amy), Joshua (Roxanne), Alex, George (Monica), Joel (Robyn), Laura Merritt, Clay (Mindy); and 28 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the Trenton LDS meeting house on Wednesday, December 6 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Nelson Funeral Home in Smithfield on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Trenton LDS meeting house on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Trenton cemetery.
