Carolyn Lee Peterson Nelson, 75, of Richmond Utah, passed away on June 6th, 2026. She was born June 7th, 1950 to Lawain and Jaqueline Peterson.

She died June 6th surrounded by her family.

She was the middle of three children, with an older sister, Linda Peterson Raschke, who preceded her in death, and a younger brother, Jeff Peterson.

She married Tim Russell Nelson 59 years ago. Together they had four children: Sandie Nelson Nyman, Kirt Russell Nelson, Dion Tim Nelson, and Tyson Lawain Nelson.

She is survived by her husband Tim, and brother Jeffrey Peterson, Three children, Sandie Nyman, Dion Tim Nelson and, Tyson Lawain Nelson, seven grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.

Carolyn Loved Her family deeply and prayed for them every evening. Her family meant more to her than anything in her life.

She worked at Pepperidge Farms briefly, and then ran an upholstery shop for several years with her husband Tim.

She went back to school and got her High School Diploma.

She then went to Utah State University and received Bacheliers Degree in Journalism and Communications.

She wrote several articles for the Cache Citizen while attending college. She worked for several years as the Membership Director for the Chamber of Commerce; while there she put together the first Web Page for the Cache Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed going out and meeting people the most. She had a real outgoing personality.

A viewing will be held Thursday June 18 from 11:00 am-12:00 noon at the City Creek Ward Chapel, (150 South 100 East Richmond, UT) followed by a graveside service.
