Elaine Erickson, age 62, daughter of Glen William and Judith Ann Nielsen Erickson, passed away Monday Feb.9, 2026.
Elaine was born June 10, 1963 in Logan Utah. She spent the early years of her life living in various states while her father served in the United States Air Force. Her family finally settled in Blanding Utah and Elaine finished her schooling there graduating from San Juan High School in 1980.
Elaine lived a difficult life. She was plagued by epileptic seizures all her life, and the necessary medications she took had side effects that were difficult to deal with. Elaine was always active in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and despite her chronic condition, she was blessed with miraculous health while serving as a full-time missionary in the New Mexico, Albuquerque mission.
Following her missionary service, she attended USU and CEU. Elaine worked at various odd jobs, and always found satisfaction in a job well done. She never married, and though she spent stints living on her own, or with various family members and friends, she spent most of her life at home with her parents.
Elaine also loved music. She loved to sing and play the piano, and she learned to be a good swimmer. She had her own sewing machine, and loved sewing and giving gifts of her sewn creations to her family and anyone else in need.
The last few years of her life were spent in Fayette Utah living with her older sister Mary Ann Ryan, who provided Elaine with loving care and a good home.
Elaine was preceded in death by her mother Judy, who died May 11, 2008. She is survived by her father Glen, three sisters Mary Ann Ryan, Elizabeth Smith, St. George Utah, Carolyn MyBurgh, Parowan Utah, And her three brothers, John, Franklin Idaho, Steven, Preston Idaho and Nathan, Beaverdam Utah.
