Dianne Elizabeth Christensen Blotter passed away on Saturday, November 8th, surrounded by her family, after a sudden illness.
Dianne was one of those rare people who could light up any room just by walking into it. She came into this world the same way — full of light and joy — on December 8, 1944, to her loving parents, Jim and Helen Christensen, whom she adored deeply.
She married the love of her life, Walter Jay Blotter, and together they built a wonderful life full of love, laughter, and adventure with their four children. Dianne was a proud and devoted mother; her children were the center of her world, and her love for them was endless.
All of Dianne’s kids and grandkids were always so happy when she came to any event — she brought the life to the party every single time. Her laughter, energy, and joy filled the room and made every gathering more special.
Dianne loved her garden and her flowers, spending time outdoors, finding the perfect pair of shoes, and enjoying a cold Diet Coke. She had a deep love for traveling and embraced every opportunity to explore new places. In recent years, she took many memorable trips with her family and her dear friend, Diane.
She spent many dedicated years working at Pepperidge Farm, where she not only gave her best every day but also formed lifelong friendships that she treasured. Dianne had a gift for connecting with people — she loved a day out shopping, catching a good movie, or sharing lunch and laughter with friends.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband Walter Jay Blotter, her parents Jim & Helen Christensen. She is survived by her children Rachelle (Tracy) Moser, Jason (Misty) Blotter, Jennifer (Justin) Roberts and Adam (Trina) Blotter. 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and a brother Lud Christensen.
A viewing will be held at the Newton LDS Church (76 South 100 West) on Friday, November 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A second viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 15th, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., also at the Newton LDS Church. Interment will follow at the Newton Cemetery.
Dianne will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the joy she brought to every life she touched. Her laughter, love, and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
