Jeremy Todd Nelson

February 27, 1983 — May 1, 2026

Hyrum, Utah

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeremy Todd Nelson, 43, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Jeremy passed away on May 1, 2026 during his morning run.

Jeremy was born in Provo, Utah, on February 27, 1983, to Pat and Sandi Nelson. His resilience was evident early on as he was born with a cleft lip and palate, and underwent many surgeries during his early childhood. This led to his immense faith and trust in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which only increased throughout his life.

Jeremy grew up in Dugway, Utah. He loved playing sports and was on the Dugway High School basketball, baseball, soccer and track teams throughout his teen years. He also played the saxophone in the high school band. He was involved in the Boy Scouts and obtained the rank of Eagle. He graduated from Dugway High School in 2001.

In 2002, Jeremy was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission. He served faithfully for two years.

After returning home from his mission he attended Snow College, where he met his best friend, Staci McCleve. Jeremy and Staci were married in the Manti Temple on June 11, 2005. Early in their marriage, they moved to Logan where he attended Utah State University and graduated with a degree in History.

Jeremy and Staci made a home for their family in Cache Valley, and have resided in Hyrum, Utah for the past 13 years. Jeremy was the best husband and father to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was coaching sports teams, telling stories, attending the temple, watching Star Wars, or playing games. He worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Production Planner. He had many valued relationships and friends among his coworkers. Everything that he did was to bring joy and happiness to his family and those around him.

Jeremy was very active in his church congregation and held many callings. He served as the Elders Quorum President, Executive Secretary, Young Men’s Advisor, Primary Teacher, and Gospel Doctrine Instructor. He loved sharing the gospel with others, and had a great love of Family History. We know that there are many people joyful to greet him on the other side and thank him for the work that he did. He loved the temple and spent a great deal of time there.

Jeremy had the ability to find a friend in anyone, and to turn any situation into a positive one. His laugh was infectious, and his smile lit up every room. There was never a dull moment when he was around. We have been blessed to have him in our life. He has strengthened our faith, helped us grow, made us laugh and has changed us all for the better.

He is survived by his wife Staci; his children, Cadince, Peter, Ginny, Lanaya, Savana, and Charlotte; his parents Pat and Sandi; sister Jessica Christensen (Michael); brothers, Nathan (Jamie), and Joshua (Katie).
