Kathryn Robins Gunn

December 5, 1948 — September 24, 2022

Farr West, UT - Kathryn Robins Gunn passed away September 24, 2022, due to complications that resulted after her cancer treatments. She was surrounded by her family.

Kathryn was born December 5, 1948 in Fillmore, Utah to William James Robins and Grace Elaine Shaw. Kathryn lived in Scipio and later moved to Clearfield in 1951. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1967 and married Thomas L. Gunn that same year. Together they had 5 children they raised in Syracuse, Utah, but later divorced. Kathryn moved to Smithfield, Utah in 1990 where she lived the remainder of her life. She worked for Wal-Mart in North Logan for 26 years.

From the time she was little, Kathryn always had a furry companion by her side as she loved cats and dogs. She enjoyed spending her time walking her dog Minnie, sewing, doing genealogy, reading, gardening, painting, cooking, doing temple work, and spending time with her grandkids. Kathryn had a hidden talent that not many knew about; she liked to play the piano. She also had a witty sense of humor.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was proud of her pioneer heritage. She loved sharing stories of our ancestors and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Kathryn had a very sweet spirit and had a testimony of her Savior.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and oldest sister, Gloria Probert. Surviving are her five children: Lisa (Jason) Ward - Fruit Heights, Utah; Amber (Scott) Sleight - Millville, Utah; Camie (Bob) Miller - Farr West, Utah; Spencer Gunn - Smithfield, Utah; Janae (Nick) Favero - Farr West, Utah; and 17 grandchildren; siblings: sister, Lee Gillette - Tooele, Utah; brother, Billy (Melanie) Robins - Selah, Washington.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at the Smithfield City Cemetery, 300 E Center St, Smithfield, Utah.

The family would like to thank Huntsman Cancer Institute, Intermountain Healthcare, and all of her home health and hospice caregivers. A special thanks to Seasons Assisted Living in Farr West for their exceptional care and compassion.
