Kenneth 'Kenny' Blaine Furgeson

Kenneth (Kenny) Blaine Furgeson returned to his Heavenly home on December 13, 2022. He was born to the late Blaine Dee Furgeson and Nayla Jones Davis on January 26, 1969 in Ogden, Utah. His siblings are Cyndi (Mark) Duke, Gordon (Heidi) Furgeson, Heather Furgeson, Becky (Bryan) Tesch, Alan (Katie) Furgeson.

He married Michelle Smith Furgeson on September 27, 1991 in the Logan Temple. His children are K.C. (Ashley), Shelby (Justin), Kensi, and Rylee. His grandchildren are Xander, Brighton, Tenley, Blakely, and Carson.

Kenny served a mission in Cali, Columbia & California South (Santa Anna), Spanish speaking. Kenny worked as a teacher's aide and a Spanish interpreter in California. He was a manager for Feature Films for Families for twelve years between Evanston, Wyoming and Logan, Utah. He moved to Newton, Utah in 2004 where he eventually became the Herd Manager for Griffin Farms Inc. Kenny graduated from the Police Academy at B.A.T.C. and was hired on as a reserve officer for the Cache County Sheriff's Office.

Kenny was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held many callings, including Elders Quorum President, Secretary & Sunday School President.

His passion for deer hunting never ended. He made it a year long process by starting the planning for the next season as soon as they got home from the current hunt.

He was an amazing dad, and a super fun grandpa. He loved to cook, and was known to make whatever anyone wanted. His big breakfasts will be missed. Kenny was known for his smile, generosity, kind way of helping others, and friendly point from the window of his truck.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 12 noon at the Newton Ward Chapel (76 S 100 W) with viewings at the church on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 5 to 7 pm & again from 10:30-11:30 the day of the service.
