This lady was born on October 26, 1948 in Altadena California to Francis Newton Rockwell and Ruth Irene Strickler
Her mom was a bit of a gypsy, so they moved so much that it would be pretty tough to list all of the places she lived but they included California, Washington, Alaska and Idaho. From a young age, she indicated that she couldn’t wait to get her own home to keep clean and set up the way she wanted. She only ever wanted to raise kids and be a grandma, and she was really good at it. And now, she is a GREAT grandma!
Her patriotism was always showing. Even teaching her 2 year old Hannah to sing God Bless America which she did loudly on the microphone. She deeply loved her God, her country and her family.
Marilyn sure knew how to rally after any physical challenge. She would come back from the brink even stronger, over and over. She made us promise to be happy for her as she was so tired. “I am happy for you” we say with a smile…
Marilyn leaves behind, her husband Jack – deceased, her children; Melea Roach and her husband Brad - deceased, Shree Evert and her husband Glenn - deceased and Jason Greer who all live in Logan, Utah. Her grandchildren: Melea’s Hannah in Heaven, Shree’s Shayna and Garrett with GREAT grandchildren Camille and Salem, Trevor and Kayleigh with soon to arrive GREAT grandson, and Kyla. Also here are her beloved pets Lucy and Charlie.
We miss you already, Marilyn, Merner, Marns, My Seester, Grandma Melon, Grandma Naps A LOT, Mom.
Her siblings here are; Roger and Shirley (deceased) Rockwell, Idaho, Crazy Aunt Rose Rockwell, Utah, Mark and Lisa Rockwell, Alaska and Matt and Marianne Rockwell, Idaho.
