Maxine Johnson Coombs Wellsville: Maxine Johnson Coombs, 63, passed away January 13, 2002, at her home in Wellsville, UT. She was born May 27, 1938, in Riverside, UT, the daughter of Lawrence Monroe and Inez Florence Udy Johnson. She married Clyde Ray Coombs April 7, 1958, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was educated in the Bear River Valley where she graduated from Bear River High School. She lived in Riverside, UT until 1969. In 1969 she and her husband and children moved to the Canal Zone in Panama where they spent 18 years working for the Canal Zone Government and later the Department of Defense Dependant Schools. In 1987 they returned to the United States and settled in Wellsville. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various positions. She enjoyed cooking and having family and friend get togethers. She enjoyed being with her family on hunting and fishing trips. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Elvis, and a son Brad. Maxine is survived by her husband Ray and two sons, Ferron Michelle of Beaver Dam, UT; Wade Renee of Milleville, UT; five grandchildren; two sisters, Clarice Hirschi and Karen Buttars. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17, 2002, at 12:00 noon in the Wellsville 7th Ward Chapel, 660 South 100 West, Wellsville with Bishop Gary Bates conducting. Friends and family may call Wednesday, January 16th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor and Nelson Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Thursday, January 17th from 10:30 ? 11:40 a.m. at the Wellsville 7th Ward Chapel.
