Garland ? Michelle Thompson, 12, of Garland, returned home to her Father in Heaven, Friday, January 11, 2002, of injuries sustained in a skiing accident in Idaho. She was born September 16, 1989, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Darwin H. & Laurie Griffin Thompson. Michelle lived in Garland all of her life. Attended Garland Elementary & Alice C Harris Intermediate School, where she was an Honor Student. She loved drawing, embroidery, cooking, dancing, sports, and animals, especially her cat Silver. She loved people and made friends easily. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She currently was the Beehive Secretary in the Garland 2nd Ward. Survivors include her parents ? Darwin & Laurie Thompson of Garland; two brothers ? Tyler Thompson LDS Misssion ? Goiania, Brazil, and Jared Thompson of Garland; and two sisters ? Heather Thompson of Ogden, and Marci Thompson of Garland; grandparents ? Lyman & Dorothy Thompson of Garland, and Phyllis Griffin of Clarkston, Utah. She was preceded in death by her grandfather ? Halvey E. Griffin. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002, at the Garland LDS Tabernacle, 140 West Factory Street. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East ? Tremonton, and Wednesday, 10:30 ? 11:40 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle.
