Pamela Jean Peterson Parkinson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Cache Valley Assisted Living Center. She was born on July 27, 1943, in Hyrum, UT to Paul and Thorene Peterson. At the age of 18, she married Curtiss G. Parkinson. Together, they raised four children and built a home in Hyrum, UT where they lived for 64 years.
Pam loved to stay active. She was an avid walker and spent countless hours working in her yard and flower gardens. She had a deep love of music – singing, playing the guitar and piano. In her younger years, she especially enjoyed dancing. Pam had a strong and enduring faith in her Heavenly Father and served faithfully in numerous church callings, always with a heart full of love and dedication.
She is survived by her husband, Curtiss G. Parkinson (Hyrum, UT); her children: Kelly (Lisa) Parkinson (Wellsville, UT), Cory Parkinson (Logan, UT), Heather (Shane) DeKorver (St. George, UT), and Kami (Cameron) Hepworth (Lexington, KY); 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her aunts, Pat Swenson and Janae Katlin.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Thorene Peterson; and her uncles, Gerald Swenson and Clifford Katlin.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel 455 E 100 S, Hyrum, UT. A second viewing will take place at the same location on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Wellsville Cemetery.
