In Loving Memory of Peggy Jean Baker
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Peggy Jean Baker, who left this world peacefully on June 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy was born on August 12, 1960, in East Meadow, New York, to her devoted parents, Pauline and Robert McHugh. She lived a life defined by love, kindness, and selflessness, always putting others before herself and making everyone feel welcome, valued, and cared for.
A proud graduate of Chino High School, Peggy pursued a career dedicated to helping others. She worked in nursing homes, a doctor's office, transcription, and later as a call center manager. No matter where life took her, she carried with her a compassionate heart and a genuine desire to serve those around her.
Peggy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, visiting farmers markets, searching for a good bargain, and making memories on trips to Las Vegas with her parents. Her warmth, laughter, and generous spirit brought happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Family was the center of Peggy's life. She was the devoted wife of Don Baker, with whom she shared a life filled with love and laughter. She was a proud and loving mother to Donnie (Cassie) and Courtney, and she welcomed her daughter-in-law as her own daughter with unconditional love.
Her greatest joy was her five grandchildren—Jonathan, Sadie, Jaxon, Kayson, and Luca. She cherished every moment spent with them and created memories they will carry in their hearts forever.
Peggy was the person people turned to for comfort, guidance, and support. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her love touched countless lives. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering love.
While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched. We will forever remember her gentle soul, her strength, and the way she made everyone feel loved.
Peggy will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond words. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to guide us, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
Forever loved. Forever cherished. Forever missed.
