Richard Theodore Nessler Bear River City, UT: Richard Theodore Nessler, 86, passed away at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, January 3, 2002. He was born November 15, 1915, in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the son of Matthew and Pauline Stavenor Nessler. He married Nola Christensen on January 23, 1946, in Bear River City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple March 11, 1954. He worked as a manager of a gas station in Baraboo and then as a warehouse foreman at DDO in Ogden for 33 years. He served on the Bear River City Town Council. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army from 1942-1946. He was a High Priest in the Bear River 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in the Elders Presidency and as a Home Teacher. He is survived by his wife Nola of Bear River City; his children, Sandra Gerald Smith, Tremonton; Richard C. Nessler, Tremonton; Brian L. Kimmy Nessler, Bear River City; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister Katherine N. Brown, Madison WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Bart C. and Chris; brothers, Arthur, Fred and Raymond. Funeral services will be held Monday January 7, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West. Friends may call Sunday January 6th from 5:00?7:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday January 7th from 9:15-10:30 a.m. at the church.
